Artist About Photo.jpg

Victoria Smith is an American painter and visual artist currently based in New York City.

After years of purely abstract painting, time spent at a Finnish artist residency in early 2019 completely changed Smith’s trajectory. She has returned to figurative painting, often abstracted, sourcing from her own photographs, direct observation, memory and imagination.

Smith’s work explores the ambiance of the modern landscape and people interacting within it.
